On Spotify:

Charles Lloyd--Forest Flower {Live @ Monterey}. He and Jarret really cooked up some great sounding music here; it is definitely on my next Amazon "to buy" list, without a doubt.

On Spotify:

Ornette Coleman--The Shape Of Jazz To Come. Some nice stuff on here; though considered "radical" in its own time when first released in the 1960's, it sounds pretty "tame" and accessible to me.

john coltrane--spiritual-new sound (cd)
i was on the hardbop homepage this morning, and in their listing of the greatest 100 alltime hardbop albums, they could only find room for two coltrane records. blue train and
giant steps. i was amazed by that, not one prestige. gord
