its 7.30pm and i am still playing coltrane.
john coltrane-coltranes sound-atlantic-surely tranes best album, my choice anyway.
miles davis-round midnight-columbia one of miles best and coltrane is outstanding.
john coltrane-a love supreme-impulse. still dont really dig this album for some reason
but i'll bet one day i will. gord

@ Gord, I know what you mean about that Trane album. For me, it never had any flow to it; it was too religious and monotonous with its boring chanting to/about God, etc, etc. I doubt I'll ever get to like it, no matter how many times I listen.

yesterday i played a lot of john coltrane, today i decided to play my second favorite tenor sax the great dexter gordon.
dexter gordon-at the amsterdam paradiso-(2lps) an excellent live club date.
dexter gordon-long tall dexter-the savoy sessions superb early bebop.
dexter gordon- go- blue note. i believe this is dexters best album and one of the best records ever. gord
