lee morgan- 1938-1972 epitaph records. i believe these are recordings from the vee jay label with blakey,shorter,chambers and w. kelly. of course this is excellent jazz. gord

Spent the afternoon yesterday at the Sage,Gateshead, for the New Year's Day Strauss Concert.
Not jazz but great music.

hi colin,the hip string quartet consists of 1 violin,1 viola and 2 cellos. there is a nice rhythm section cedar walton,ron carter,micky roker plus afew solists james moody, andhubert laws recorded in 1968. it swings and is excellent. gord
