"Ping-pong" and "Moanin'" from Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers. Doesn't get much better than that as far as I'm concerned.:tiphat:

Buddy Tate playing separately with Humph and Ruby Braff -great music.

I dont know if I've been missed but it must be 2-3 weeks since I posted. The reason is that my computer went down and after a prolonged effort to recover it i have been forced to write it off and purchase a new one (as of yesterday). It's a nightmare - I still need to try and recover the data on my hard drive and who says that Windows 7 is an improvement on Vista (my previous system).
Furthermore if I cant restore my iTunes data thats about 250 CDs I have to re-enter before continuing with the rest of my collection. Still my new iPod is behaving well and I have a new dock to charge it and listen.

Cheers for now John

umo jazz orchestra-electrifying miles- a records.this is a weird cd,hard to explain. the best i can do, if you take the stan kenton orchestra, remove his rhythm section and replace them with miles davis bitches brew band you just about got it. a large big band with a way out rock rhythm. i didnt like it at first, then it started too grow on me. now i find it fascinating. i will put on a buck clayton album next and come back to earth. gord:cool:
