lee morgan--midtown blues-not now music. two blue note cds, the cooker and lee-way on this double cd.
the sandoval cd is excellent, the morgan is also excellent timeless jazz that should be in every collection.

herbie hancock quintet--day dreams-prism cd.
this excellent album recorded in 1961 was originally called
out of this world by the pepper adams quintet. i guess prism figured
they would sell more under hancocks name. nevertheless it is great
to see it reissued. hardbop at its best. with donald byrd and jimmy cobb.gord

hank mobley--dig dis-(2cds)-not now music. this cd contains two complete blue note albums. soul station and roll call.
this is first class hardbop and should be in every serious jazz collection. gord
