I had a jazz/blues singers/shouters night. Always lot of great fun and humour in this genre I feel. Be the songs about hard times, sad times, good times, wild times, they never fail to swing or provide a huge grin.

....I was looking at the clock, the clock struck six! I said oooh weee baby I'm in a helluva fix....
Big Joe Turner -Buck Clayton with the Zagreb Quartet
...sh'e got great big eyes, they're really on the ball....
Big Joe Turner with Milt Buckner, Slam Stewart, Jo Jones.
...I got a pocket full of pencils, can't even write a doggone line...
Jimmy Witherspoon- Blues Jubilee.
..I went to see the doctor, he said man it's far too late, whiskey wine and women have got you in this awful state...
Jimmy Rushing with Buck Clayton All Stars 'Live Copenhagen'
...blues and bedlam follow me around...she's little and low and built up from the ground....
They don't write them or sing them like this anymore!
