Re the VW what did you think? not his usual fare. I have the complete cycle with Sir Adrian Boult and the New Philharmonic Orch on the 6th

Luis Lortie with Quebec Symphony Orchestra.

As for VW, I didn't like the 6th... I prefer his earlier symphonies. Still got three more to go, though.

The VW6 does require a bit of work and of course depends upon what mood you are in, a progression of the composers musical mind :)

Dug out one of my old favourites Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition” but not the orchestral version this was the original version for piano played by Yefim Bronfman it is a truly great recording and a wonderful Pianist.
