Colin, I enjoyed that track. I have heard Mike Nock before and sometimes got the impression that although his playing was beautiful it lacked some kind of a direction of sorts. Like quite a few others he seemed to be just a good technician and concentrated on being-nice!
However, this track has a much more creative freedom involved and his playing takes on a more interesting descriptive feeling with the backing group collective. His playing isn't just nice anymore it goes beyond that.
This isn't the rating thread but damn it, i'll give it a 10/10. Excellent.

Stu thanks for listening and to be quite honest I am dumbfounded that you have heard of him, I only found one other person that had and that was a Greek Bass player on TC and he was amazed that Nock was a Kiwi, any way thanks again.

I thought I was listening to a new, young jazzer,
but then it started sounding just like a track offa Mile's Bitches Brew,
only not as deep.

That Bitches Brew is one great jazz fusion album; I only wish Hendrix could have gotten some playing time on it as well!

Mat, fantastic album by Morgan; I especially love the title track, as it is so evocative and expressive.
Today, I listened to Keith Jarrett--The Impulse Story on the Cloud. I have just purchased it as well.
