I'm seeing Corno Dolce mentioning Pat Methany, who with Lyle Mayes on keys,
was one of my favorite "fusion" bands, back then.
I always wished the bassist Jaco Pastorius would have joined up with them.

As to my previous post. I did mention hearing some classical music.
Overall, from media to locals, Wallenda, and the whole day, was a disappointment.
It was fun if you were there, postponed until after dark, lots of media and flashbulbs,
but he didn't toss off the harness or pretend to fall, and media thought he was too fast across.

Anyone else here grow up watching the Flying Wallenda's on The Ed Sullivan Show,
between the classical virtuosos and rock bands?

@JohnWatt:

Ed Sullivan Show? And the Flying Wallendas??? WOW! That was sometime ago. But of course, we should also remember Klem Kadiddlehopper and Freddie the Freeloader as gestalted by Red Skelton - Now that kept me in stitches...:lol:

And then there's "The Red Green Show" - Canadian bush-redneck entertainment at its most wry - or awry, depending wholly on one's perspective...:grin:

Rosemary Clooney with Count Basie
Rosemary Clooney with Duke Ellington - I like her older, deeper voice
Alan Vache with Harry Allen - "Alan and Allen" Alan Vache is a latter day benny Goodman, maybe better
