What jazz have you been listening to today?

You may have noticed (but not missed) my absence from the Forum during the last week.
This has been due to the presence of two of my Grandsons on holiday, and due to their bunkbeds
being in the bedroom which doubles as my computer room. "nuff said.
They have gone just today, and I have started to listen to my 5 new CDs which arrived during the week
- some great stuff (see the new CD thread).

This is highly recommended by myself to all jazz lovers

McCoy Tyner--Monk's Dream

Hi Steve,

In all honesty I feel that McCoy Tyner "outmonks" Monk in Monk's Dream...Do you get get my drift? Its one of my favorite recordings.......Ya know, it'll be a really deep blue day for me when McCoy departs from this transitory life. He has single-handedly done so much for the World's Jazz Scene...He is the Jazz Leviathan.............
