My new apartment and my foray into c.d. technology is working out pretty good.
But the Jimi Hendrix c.d.'s I bought have a rougher sound to them, remastered from albums.
And that's product from the Hendrix Estate.

I'd love to get some Coltrane, Elvin Jones, McCoy Tyner, but that jazz is a more sophisticated mix,
and I don't want to end up with more c.d.'s I don't really want to listen to.
That's laying in the dark with the headphones on, an acute listening experience.

The local c.d. store just closed, so I can't look at any catalogues or see different product.
I gotta get a new "In a Silent Way", too.
Ahh, the good old days, when if it said "Deutche Gramophone", I'd buy it.

EST is the Esbjorn Svensson Trio (can be found under either title). Discovered them when CD posted their version of Round Midnight, the Monk piece, and became a fan. Swedish trio which played a lot of quite laid back jazz. Apart from Round Midnight try From Gagarin's Point of View. Sadly Esbjorn was killed in a diving accident.
