Most kind of you, Steve. :tiphat:

I listened to Live in Paris by Diana Krall. Delightful album, really.

Turns out I do have an unnamed album of Flanagan Trio on my HDD.

I'm listening to it right now.

I've heard only just a few tracks, but I can already say his solos are incomparably better. Coherent, well-thought-out and well played. Enjoyable in a word.

Look him up on YT. Here's a sample.

Mat, absolutely spot on; his playing on "Raincheck" is very assertive and confident. Maybe it helped that there was no Coltrane--nor indeed, any sax player--in this particular line-up. Thanx for sharing.

coltrane plays the blues through my newly purchased Sennheiser HD 201 headphones. Absolutely the bomb!

Glad you bought a wired model, Steve. I went with wireless Sennheiser headphones. Indeed, it's very comfortable to use them (I've had it for about a year now), not having to worry about the cable and all, but the hissing noise and other kind of interference in the sound reception can drive you crazy. And to think I could have had a decent wired model for half the price!

Listened to Joey DeFrancesco's Live At The Five Spot.

I hear you, Mat. And they were only 22 dollars and change on Amazon.com.
They are very comfortable with--for my simple needs--great sound. The cord is plenty long as well.

Hi Mat,
I bought some Sennheisser wireless earphones and I wasted my money.
All I get when trying to use them with my HiFi is a program on a local TV (It could be anyone in the vicinity.)

I'm listening to my latest CD "Gerry Mulligan meets Johnny Hodges". Ref. the thread for latest purchase.

Cheers John

Wow, John. I didn't expect it could get this bad. I get all kind of noises, but it's more of a hiss rather than someone else's TV programmes. May I ask what model did you buy? Did you try replacing them at the store, or getting a refund?
