nat adderley quintet-a little new york midtown music-galaxy. a good hardbop album from nat, but with sidemen like johnny griffin, vic feldman, ron carter and roy mccurdy, it is what you would expect. gord

today i listened to mccoy tyner trio-port au blues-past perfect. due to the influence of cd and steve i have been playing more tyner just lately. i find i have been missing some sounds of a genius, but i am going to hear more of this outstanding talent from now on. gord

Gord, I feel honored indeed that you would include me in the same sentence as our good friend cd. I am so glad that you are enjoying Tyner. Until recently--thanks to some members of the forum turning me on to you.tube.com--I was not aware how much really good stuff he and Coltrane produced together.

hi steve, i figured you would give us equinox sooner or later, a beautiful piece of music. with a handful of others, blue monk, gloomy sunday and killer joe, it is among my favorites. gord:cool:

just played, bobby hackett-hello louis-epic (lp). good dixieland album,with modern jazzmen, steve lacey,roger kellaway sonny russo and ronny bedford. gord

john coltrane-live at the village vanguard-the master takes-impulse (cd) one of coltranes most famous albums. great stuff here. gord
