I had almost finished the Charlie Haden album "Silence", so we rush on to:
"Eyes Of The Heart", by ECM Records 1979, feat. Keith Jarrett (piano, soprano saxophone, osi drums, tambourine), Dewey Redman (tenor saxophone, tambourine, maracas), Carlie Haden (double bass) and Paul Motian (drums, percussion)
When it was first released it was in vinyl of course. A double album, but with no recording on side 4. Strange!

PM (guitars, syntheziser guitar), Lyle Mays (piano, synthezisers, organ, autoharp, synclavier), Steve Rodby (double bass, el. bass), Danny Gotlieb (drums) and Nana Vasconcelos (percussion, voice, berimbau).

Pat Metheny (acoustic baritone guitar) on his solo album "One Quiet Night". The song "North To South, East To West".
When PM was niniteen, he went to a concert with the Gary Burton Quartet. He brought his 12 string acoustic guitar with the small amplier.
After the 1. set during the intermission PM went back stage, introduced himself to Gary Burton (vibraphone, marimba) and his band. Then PM asked if he could sit in on the 2. set, which meant could he play with the band live.
I have always wondered how it must have looked from the eyes of Gary Burton at that time in the middle of the 1970´s. GB already famous throughout the world belonging to the Giants in jazz on his vibraphone and marimba. Being teacher at the Berklee School of Music as well, while not traveling and recording.
A total stranger this young skinny lad from Missouri with lots of long curly black hair and a 12 string acoustic guitar with an amplier. Can I sit in PM asked?
That was the beginning of the incredible musical career of PM. 6 months later he performed on the album "Ring" by the Gary Burton Quintet in 1975, recorded in Germany at the ECM Records, where PM went straight to the producer Manfred Eicher and got himself a contract to record his first album.
The debut album titled "Bright Size Life", with non other than Jaco Pastorius on the el. frettles bass and Bob Moses from GB´s band on the drums. It was in 1976.
So to all of you young musicians at the MIMF, what you always should remember - You´re good, and sometimes better than you think yourselves. So just hit it on the stage or at the recording labels.

Yes, she's very much Italian but she was born and raised in upstate New York and now lives in Southern California as far as I know. Her phone number? Most single guys and a few married men would kill to get her phone number.
I tell ya - men are such ANIMALS - trouble is, animals do it because of instinct - humans go around lusting and drooling and making themselves a real pain in the butt - some people, unfortunately, go off the deep end and rape, torture, strangle, and kill the object of their desire. They rationalise their behaviour thinking that: "Hey, if I can't have her then nobody else can".
And we humans are supposed to be at the top of the food chain??? Just when you think that humans can't devolve any lower, some of them commit such atrocities which redefine how low one can really go.

I know compadre. I read her biography, she surely looks italian, but realy nice music and she CAN sing. Upstate New York that might be close to Woodstock, the city which had an invation of 300.000 youngsters in 1969. At the time the biggest and the greatest Music Festival of peace, love making and music. I still have the 3 double vinyl album, where Jimi hendrix played a very different kind of The Star Sprangled Banner, than the one known from public schools.
I would have payed anything whatsoever to be there among this huge group. Though they at the time seemed to get more rain and mud than in a full year at Woodstock. I might even have offered at a special danish price to Carlos Santana to be understudy for Michael Shrive playing "Soul Sacrifice" on air-drums. That would have been awesome - at least for me :lol::lol::lol::lol:
