Cheers,

Thx Corno.Kurt Masur,New York Philharmonic and Sergei Leiferkus. This is one of the top three performances i heard of this symphony with the others being;Jansons & BRSO & Aleksashkin and Temirkanov & St Petersburg Philharmonic & Aleksashkin.Sarcasm, range and demonic feeling Leiferkus has in his voice is just superb and very suitable to this work.

Dvorak and Schumann cello concertos.Jacqueline du Pre soloist,Daniel Barenboim conducting Chicago Symphony and New Philharmonia Orchestras respectively.Very emotional playing, spontaneous readings by du Pre.A shame she had a tragically brief career.
