Wagner's "The Flying Dutchman," Sawallisch-Bayreuth
Some years ago, I viewed 'Dutchman' as one of Wagner's 'junior-partner' works, half-a-step up from 'Rienzi,' and certainly nowhere near the quality of his later "music dramas." Happily, I've moved past that parochial perspective.

I watched the finale of Mahler's 2nd symphony on a DVD today. LSO under the baton of Leonard Bernstein; Deutsche Gramophon.
Oh, and also the Titan symphony. Again by Bernstein, but this time with Wiener Philharmoniker; DG.
