The rarest coffee in the world is Kopi Luwak, which is found in Indonesia. It cost about $300 a pound.

This Kopi Luwak coffee I believe comes from South America. The reason it is so expensive...
There is an animal that eats the fruit and then (yuck) poops the seed (bean) It is then collected and roasted.
One cafe here in Maine offered it but I think the price plus place of origin (yuck) detered people from buying it.

Hi Hawk! Yes I have my little apartment looking like a jungle with three
begonias,a pepper plant that is just starting, a poinsettia that I talk
spanish to and a new orchid that originates from Mexico. I just have a
one bedroom place that is pretty small. I'm trying to fix the place to
look Native American with a taste of Mexico in it. I even have a dream
catcher in the window. I don't think it's catching my dreams though.
