Wow, how many useless facts are there? Some interesting ones here. Thanks Muza for the numbers explanation.

CT The Lone Ranger called Tonto "Kimosabi". Wonder if he thought he was just a soggy shrub.

And now my totally useless fact.

The estimated number of M & M's sold each day in the United States is 200,000,000.

Somebody mentioned sudoku, it can get you in trouble.

A judge abandoned a drug conspiracy trial in Sydney afters jurors were found to have been playing the game sudoku.

The jurors were found out after they were spotted writing vertically, rather than horizotally. It had been assumed they were taking notes.

The foreman admitted to the judge that four or five of them had been doing puzzles.
"It helps me keep my mind busy," he said.

When I was doing jury service, I'm sure we would not have got away with it.

Margaret - I'm kind of surprised that got into the British news frankly. But I saw it on the news last night, the problem being, the trial will need to start from scratch, more stress for the witnesses et cetera and, more importantly, another huge bill to the tax payer. The bloody jurors should have been horsewhipped or put in the stocks so we could throw ripe tomatoes at them ...

200,000,000 M&Ms per day. Now that doesn't surprise me as there was a program on T.V. a couple of nights back called "medical miracles" and the chap that was having stomach stapling surgery weighed an enormous 1034 pounds (about 70 stone). His diet was entirely junk food, whilst I thought it was horrific and had little sympathy at first, I then decided the poor bloke lived a life as the working poor, had little or no nutrional education (five vegetales and two pieces of fruit per day, being my country's current health mantra) and no ability to buy healthy food cheaply. Very, very sad indeed.

Wow, so much stuff going on in here.
First of all, Congratulations Judy!!!! Way to go, girl! ;)

Secondly, jurors doing sudoku puzzles during the trial!?! Thats why I dont trust jurors with important trials - they dont care, they are not even paying attention, while somebody's life can be at stake. Bastards!!! ;)

Thirdly, Thats a lot of M&Ms!

I would not want to be that size. I get a little overweight and I worry. The trouble as you say is not everyone can afford all the healthy food.

The story about the jurors was on the internet, I just log on to my search engine and click news. It gives me news from all over the world.

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.

Think I'll stick to the kettle.
