Hey ... great hearing there ... It brewed up nicely just a bit ago - there was lightening dancing all over the place for about an hour ... constantly "crack n' boom" every few seconds ... beautiful sound, beautiful rain.
We are under a severe flood warning now (@1930 hours) for the creeks and rivers of Pima county. As the water runs off the local mountains (8,000 foot high mountains) the waterways flood quickly and sweep anything away in its path - people, cars, houses.
At 0815 hours: 77°, 68% RH, winds calm. Expecting a high of 88° today with lots of thunderstorm activity in the afternoon and into the evening. We are smack dab in the middle of a very normal wet summer ... and the evening light shows (lightening in every imaginable form) are spectacular, complete with sound effects ...
Wow, that's amazing ... at nearly the same time we are the same temperature ...
But it's been overcast all day - heavy dark clouds hovering giving us the much needed moisture so that we will have drinking water the rest of the year.
Seeing the desert this time of the year with everything blooming and green is wonderful.
I can't believe that I forgot to answer Krummhorn last April about the
earthquake that took place. This event I guess I will never forget.
I was asked if there was a fault line close by and believe it or not there is.
It's called the New Madrid fault. Don't worry It's not as active as the
San Andras fault. The temps are at 75 right now. and the moon is out.

Currently it is slightly overcast at 79F, 54% Humidity and winds out of the SW at 7MPH. Expecting thunderstorms today (and for the next 5 days). So far have only had to use the air conditioning 3 times since we bought it this summer.
