How's Your Weather?

Well, today we are expecting a high of 73F. Humidity is 57% with a westerly wind at 17mph. Tonight we are expecting a very pleasant 56F. Perfect for sleeping with the windows open.

Of course, this figures as the previous two days it has been around 90F with a heat index of 100F. I kept hearing people on the street saying, "c'est tres chaud" and they weren't kidding. We went to Canadian Tire and purchased an air conditioner for our bedroom and closed up all the windows. Such a change, Isis, our terrier even slept under the sheet for a change. It was actually chilly in the bedroom this morning.

Now the windows are open again and Isis had a haircut (buzzed) and is very happy.

I don't know if it will be hotter in August but we will get another air conditioner for the rear of the house if hot weather is predicted for extended periods.

Gosh, I blab a lot!

Very unusual July day ... topped out just over 80° and quite overcast.
Currently, 75°, 84% RH, wind out of the SSE @ 8mph. Forecasting thunderstorms tonight with 50% probability ... which means that there is a 50% probability of no storms either.

I believe something is seeding these clouds for it to rain so much. This
did happen before in the early 70's and it flooded everything around the
Mississippi river. Now it's deluge again. Everyday I find more and more
streaks in the sky where jets have been flying. Like there is something
secret out there that we aren't supposed to see. I wished the sky
would clear. We had an absolute downpour yesterday while I was at
Walmart. I looked like a drowned rat when I got home. I know that I
sound paranoid. But I have a feeling that something is wrong with this
weather. We should be experiencing temps in the 90's and 100's.
Not so much rain. Arizona is known to be dry this time of year too.
I used to visit Pheonix when I was younger. This summer has became
strange this year. Here it's 81 degrees at sunset.

. . . Arizona is known to be dry this time of year too.

Judy ... :shake: guess you've been away from Arizona too long :shake:

Did you forget that July, August & September is known as our "Monsoon Season"? This is the time of the year when we get the most rain - more rain than the entire rest of the year combined together. Normal rainfall during our monsoon season is from 9 to 12 inches, with severe deadly lightening during our thunder storms, flash floods, and whatever else the weather gods can throw at us.

Currently at 2100 hours it is 75°, 86% RH, and 5mph breeze from the SSE. Since 5pm this afternoon it's been lightly raining steadily.

At the moment, 68F, humidity @55%, WW@2MPH, but the breeze coming through the windows feels a bit stronger than 2MPH. We are expecting a high of 75F and a low of 58F with a good chance for thunderstorms and through the weekend. Guess no terrasse sale again this weekend.

Has been a dull day today, not much sunshine. Had some rain this afternoon, possibility of a thunderstorm. Should perk up by Sunday.

We are under a heat advisory for now. It is supposed to reach to 104
today but I'm not sweating this time like I did last year. I simply cooked
in that old house. Looks like Kentucky is hotter than Arizona today.

You're right about that, Judy ...

Presently here (SW Arizona) it is 83°, 58% RH, and winds out of the SE @ 18mph.
We are under a severe thunderstorm warning right now ... The storm we had a couple days ago dumped 1.74" of rain upon us. That's good ya know ... it replenishes our ground water tables - that's what we use for water here - it's all underground in natural aquafiers.
