When I saw the Met office forecast at the weekend Wednesday/Thursday looked fine, bright sun both days plus a bit of wind for Thursday so I made tentative plans to make a day trip to visit a friend in Gloucestershire, as the week progressed the "window" of fine weather contracted to Wed pm through Thursday pm, and gradually shrank further, We did see some "sunny intervals" yesterday and this morning, and clear moonlit sky yesterday evening, but now mid day wet and windy; glad I stayed at home!!

And they pay forecasters!!!!!!!!!!! I shudder to think what any other job would do given such consistent inferior results; instant dismissal? Obviously with the exception of government or local authority posts!

Heavy rain and strong winds last night but we escaped the extreme weather some other areas have suffered.
Today 48f and light overcast with a relatively gentle breeze.
