Currently 305 K w/ 90% RH variable winds at 15 mph.
Impressive! So you won't have to rely upon your local utility for any power use?
9:30 PM, still at 80°F ... and very still. The humidity level has been at or below 7% this past week. We won't get our "monsoon" season for a couple months yet.

A beautiful day in the 70's. I liked to have froze in church though.
In spite of the air conditioner being on full blast and it's not summer
yet, there was a fan in the choir loft going. Brrr! Someone asked
me if I wanted a ride home after church. I chose to walk home and
thaw out. The warm sun felt good! I felt the ice sickles fall off as
I walked home in the sun.

Absolutely - And for the days its overcast, the batteries that are hooked to the solar cells will provide the *juice* needed. I have a microturbine that I can start so that I can generate power for household needs if it is a lengthy period of overcast days. The A/C is being replaced with just simple coil elements that will have water from a mountain aquifer running through them and noise-less blowers that force air around the coils and vented into each room. The water is quite cold, so I'll avoid having to use a compressor/chiller - Those things are real powerhogs.
The water that has been circulated through the coils empties into a drywell thats 100 feet deep and one foot in diameter and filled with equal parts sand, clay, and gravel so it all will percolate through the drywell and into the ground below it. No, I'm not an enviro-monkey, just returning that which I have used.

A cardinal tried to perch on one of the benches outside and got it's
feathers ruffled. He usually sings when he does that. The high was
in the 70's I think. Or as windy as the biggest pipe organ with all
of the stops pulled out.

Gentle (HA!) breezes.
Well that stormy weather pretty well blew itself out before it got up here, though a few trucks found themselves flipped over because of the wind. Otherwise the weather here has been normal. A little rain, low temps of around +10, highs up to 25 or so. Today is sunny though a little cool.
At the moment I'm sort of 'bird sitting'. Our big greenwing decided to take a bath this morning. He is now drying off in the sun while I type this. I can see him, but he can't see me and so is reviewing his entire (almost) vocabulary.
Chloe, our friendly backyard raccoon has had her litter. I know where her den is, but can't see how many kits there are. I will have to wait until she brings them out for a visit. The new pic is of her having an early supper in front of my retreat.

Good Heavens!!! *Blast Furnace Day* - That sounds simply horrifying - I wouldn't wish that upon my worst enemy.

One gets somewhat used to it over time ... my main respite for the heat costs me $165 a month for the A/C and $60 a month for my super-dooper cable/internet connection ... both worth every penny!
Oh, and evening swims in the pool help, too.
A "cooler" day today @ 97°F ... still dry as a bone and a very slight breeze. Inside, it's 76° and a slight breeze from the A/C ductwork ...

Overcast today. May get showers - present temp +13 (8:52 am). It looks like our long weekend is going to be a very cool one. At least there are no mosquitos - yet.

The winds must have blown all the way from Canada down through the southeast USA recently. Happy they are gone now. Spring has arrived and is bringing the rain. The oddest thing I find is that plants grow as fast up here as they did in south Florida. I mean that you can actually measure plants growth in inches per day in certain species!
The plants are happy with the high 60'sF temps and today 70% humidty and showers. Our lilacs are blooming and are right outside our windows. When the windows are open, the house smells magnificent between the lilacs and the lilies of the valley which carpet our garden in front of the bedroom. People walking by often stop to just enjoy the beauty of it. I'm getting off topic, so I think I'll start another thread.

Clear, a bit windy - and a chilly +5C early this morning. Yes, the lilacs are out and the various birds are singing their hearts out. A robin is sitting on a nest she built on the light over our back door. It looks like a cool but nice day.

Yes, this has turned out to be a cool weekend (50ishF) so the planting is still going to have to wait until the sun comes back out and it warms up a tad more. Still beautiful.
