Yes, truly a Garden of Eden, but with two "modifications" - All those blasted mosquitoes and horseflies - and those horseflies in Russia deliver a painful bite when they want to collect blood...YEOW!!!

There are salt water marshes at the bottom of our lane and the council refuse to spray them as the mosquito's have "rights". have you ever heard anything so pathetic? We killed 10 mossies last night in the house before going to bed. My wife has at least a dozen bites.

Just finished the flower bed outside my old office. It is now resplendent with a bird bath, which the sparrows seem to appreciate, and next weekend will have a gravelled area to stand on while we cut the hedge. Planting will start in the Spring with Campanula and Thyme along with some spring bulbs. COME ON SPRING.

Took the runner beans and frames down today and started clearing the bed ready for some major surgery. My wife has bought some grape vines which will eventually grow over the patio on a frame which I have yet to build. Soon I hope to be able to reach up from my chair and pick some grapes, while drinking them.

Bought some 4X4 inch French Oak beams to start the project for the vines. Now if I can only stop my wife from changing the design every five minutes I may have a chance of building it. :banghead::banghead::banghead:
