The last Days of the Bus Club by Chris Stewart, the original drummer from Genisis who brought a hill farm in Spain. The fourth book in the Driving Over Lemons series.
Days in the life of an Andelucian sheep farmer. About the only thing he does not mention is all the money he has made from writing. What has he done with it?

Mr Mercedes - Stephen King
For any Stephen King fans who are worried about reading a dectective novel by him, rather than a horror story, don't be. He makes an excellent fist of it, and hopefully will continue wriring in this genre. A gripping read.

Orson Scott Card--Ender's Game. This book illustrates in a very clear way how true the old maxim is about the "way a man trains is the way he will eventually fight. The two prologues to Ender--also by Card--Earth Unaware and Earth Afire, are also excellent reads. Looking forward with great anticipation to the two sequels following Ender's Game, which I am fortunate enough to already own.

Three Ways to Capsize a Boat by Chris Stewart.
His time before buying the sheep farm in Spain. Very entertaining. Especially if you love boats as I do

The Seeds of Time - John Wyndham

His writing can seem a little old fashioned now, and he never was one for great technical details, but he does have a wonderful way of finding a different angle on things. Two ideas on time travel, what happens on board a marooned spaceship while they await rescue and an alien invasion, but not as we know it Jim.

Finders Keepers by Stephen King

The follow up to Mr Mercedes. A new angle on buried treasure, those who found it and those that lost it. A worthy read for King fans

Treasure Island - R L Stephenson. One I missed when I was young and just caught up with, and now I wish I had read it when I was younger. What a wonderful book. It has prompted my to investigate his other works.

The Great Gatsby - F Scott Fitzgerald Another book which I meant to read, and didn't. I have a whole list of them. Beautifully written and captures the era exactly. Should be on everyone's list.

I have recently downloaded the free Kindle app for my laptop ( far too mean to buy an e reader). I prefer books to e readers but it has prompted me to spread my wings so to speak and I have downloaded several books which I have meant to read but haven't got round to. These include MOBY DICK, and HUCKLEBERRY FINN which I am currently reading, and enjoying. This medium will never replace the pleasure of handling and reading books but has encouraged me to explore a little further than I normally would

Revival - Stephen King

King has written so much that I start to doubt that I will ever read all his stories. Revival explores the use of electricity to heal people, an idea which fascinated the Victorians. However, King takes it to a deeper and darker level.

End of Watch by Stephen King

The third and last book in the Mr Mercedes triology. Good,, but King could not help reverting to his horror genre, rather than a straight forward detective story. Non the less a fitting end to the story
