it is, indeed. especially when watching a good movie of your choice,in a shadowy room, with nothing to worry about except how hot the chocolate in the bowl is.
It is from the Food Network in Canada. I watch a show called French Cooking at Home hosted by Laura Calder. I have made them several times and each time....HEAVEN. In French they are called petite pots du chocolat. (my spelling is prob crap). The rum adds a nice "zing" and opens the mind to what else to try putting in there.
Tonight I made bittersweet choco pudding with natural cane sugar. It is chilling as we speak and then I will make some coffee/cocoa whipped cream to top it (I suppose that would be mocha). I saw that on another program but it was topped with white chocolate cream. I also am in love with Creme Anglaise. I have a recipe for "floating islands" which is merangues in custard cups that are turned out into a platter filled with creme anglaise and then drizzled with caramel. Very impressive (and easy) for a dinner party.
God, I love to cook almost as much as I love to eat!
I'm only being a tad facetious now. Since I am such a chocoholic, I'll probably set up an organization called CA(chocoholics anonymous):grin::grin:
Every year my father begins very early to make unreasonable demands about the size of chocolate Easter egg he would like. In return I torture him with postcards from this website - http://www.virtualchocolate.com/
When I was young (a few centuries ago), we never had too much chocolate. It seems the thing nowadays to buy easter eggs for the children, some then get waay too much.
to Turwethiel, recipe sounds great, my microwave is only 650 watts so might take a little longer. Will make this when my chocolate craving overwhelms me. Thanks. Sylvie
