Aloha Intet,
*Travels* was the very first PMG recording I acquired - I savoured the instrumentation and how it was employed by PMG.
Cheers,

Dear sir Corno Dolce :tiphat::clap:
I thought this morning while at church as a witness to a baby, who did not seemed to be overjoyed during the Christening ceremony, she
BIG TIME. I thought of, why you incidently became interested in the PMG. The answer appeared on the screen, when I returned.
Same with me sir. Besides, I don´t know any other contemporary guitarist nor from the past, who I would make equal to the genius John McLaughlin, though John is often in to classical guitar as well for instance on "Thieves and Poets" with the orchestra: I Pommeriggi Musicali di Milano.
Strange isn´t it, the two of my most loved and favourite musicians, and I haven´t attended a single concert?
Life is beautiful, but not always fair.
As we speak:
Pat Metheny on his album "Imaginary Day", by Warner Bros./Metheny Group Productions 1997.
The musicians:
Pat Metheny - acoustic/el. guitars, acoustic sitar guitar, guitar synthesizer, baritone guitar, el. bass, 42 string Picasso guitar, 12 string acoustic guitar
Lyle Mays - piano, keyboards
Steve Rodby - double bass, el. bass, cello
Paul Wertico - drums
Mark Ledford - vocals, flugelhorn
David Blamirez - vocals, mellophone, melodica, acoustic baritone guitar, el. guitar, trumpet
David Samuels, Mino Cinule, Glen Velez and Don Alias - percussion
I find the song "The Roots Of Coincidence" extremely rockin´unlike the PMG, Pat playing a guitar sound like Slash from the late Guns & Roses on the gutar synthesizer, on half the song and then suddenly completely different sound.
