Rear Admiral Appassionata (Ret.)
Frank Sinatra (feat. Count Basie Orchestra) - Live At Sands
I'm telling ya, the guy was a comedian as well.
You did not know Mat? :tiphat::clap:
Just think of his love song towards his town Chicago or "New York, New York" even "Strangers In The Night" or his acting in the great American movie from way back in the day "From Here To Eternity" co-starring with Montgommery Clift and Burt Lancaster and some good loking for the time - chicks on Hawaii (I believe). The only time he got killed on the white screen, where he probably got the idea to the song "One More For The Road" and "In The We Small Hours Of The Morning". I love his technical skills and rhytm, he was actually very good looking at that time, seemed to have controle over everything and as a singer of jazz in particular with a Big Band on songs like "Mac The Knife" and "All The Way" or "The Lady Is A Tramp".
Honestly Mat, though his addiction forced by Mr. Sam Giancano (Chicago Godfather), Frank Sinatra had a great career and Frankie Boy was popular all over the world. WE LOVED HIM.
He was one quarter of the gang, called The Rat-Pack, which meant friends with Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and the english actor Peter Lawford, they drank, smoked cigarets all the time on the stage, performed on The Sands and the famous Cecars Palace and had fun, obviously the audience loved them then too.
I still listen to his jazz albums freequently.
