Stravinsky: Petrushka, 1947 version
Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Mariss Jansons
I have 2 recordings of this, the other conducted by Stravinsky himself. Surprisingly (to me, at least), I prefer the Jansons.

Organ works by Bach, played by a.o. Bine Katrine Bryndorf, Ton Koopman, Wim van Beek and Markus Wagh (tube links on this board). Other Bach stuff: Golderg-Variationen on the piano by Ragna Schirmer. And also some English virginal music by Sophie Yates, and during dinner the first act of Mozart's Idomeneo by Mackerras et al.
In general: lots of pleasure! :D

Music to commemorate memorial day:

david diamond, symphony no. 2
george antheil, symphony no. 4
moshei weinberg, symphony no. 17, "memory"
ned rorem, "War scenes"
arkadi mazayev, the krasnodonians

there's plenty of choice to remember war; my selection was random.
