Franck's Sonata for Violin and Piano in A-major played by Richter and Oistrakh - To hear those gents playing that piece is like experiencing an early June dawn as the Sun gets brighter and brighter, to finally emerge above the horizon in all its glory. Thank you Cesar Franck for starting my day so gloriously wonderful. I cannot even imagine the beauty of the Creator who inspired you to create such beauty.

Today started with Masaaki Suzuki conducting JSBach's Passion according to St. John - I have always sworn by Ton Koopman's interpretations of JSBach - Now I am more inclined to Suzuki's "readings"........Suzuki lets the words of the text to set the "tempi" - He is "relaxed" yet fully in control. I am smitten........
