Talk to the animals

You're welcome. I will try and find more and take more pictures. I will
be getting my little crab a buddy to play with this week. Right now I
made him mad. I cleaned up his habitat for the first time and replaced
the towel I had for him since I forgot the gravel and replaced it with a
washcloth. Speedy didn't like it and wanted out. So I went and washed
the little hand towel and fixed it back. He was still mad this morning.
He growled as most do like a crab just as I picked him up and reached
around and pinched me. Now he's back in good humor and satisfied
after I gave him a french fry to eat on. He loves french fries and raisins
like a little pig on slop.

intet-at-tabe ,

Mrs. Brown you've got a lovely daughter....:

Hawk :tiphat:

I had the song in my head when I wrote you, but the name Mrs. Brown was replaced by another name in my head, Mrs. Robinson - of course not by Herman and his Hermits, in stead by Simon & Garfunkel.:)

Thanks for putting me straight, and also great to know that you remember this song from the days of our youth assuming you´re not a teenager as of now.:grin:

Well, it's time to pass out more cigars! I'm the proud pet parent of a
new crab. This hermit crab is a bit bigger and is a dark red with a
purple big claw. His name is Red. Just like Rojo.

Well, I guess I'm in good company then. :)

You sure know how to pick names, Judy ; Speedy's a great name too.

Living in a unit (think condo) as I do, it has a "no pet" policy. This, of course, means cats 'n' dogs are not allowed, primarily I guess because they make too much noise. I also assume a "no pet policy" means Playboy Pets of the year are forbidden, but as there are no male ones that spring to mind I'm fine with that ... ahem.

Back to pets - thinking about Miss Judy's pet crab(s) ... are they loving pets? The only real experience I've had with them has been extremely painful. Being "bitten" by then really hurts (yes, I know they don't technically bite, rather grab you with their powerful claws).

I'm allowed to have just small ones I can keep in something like a bird
or crab or even a fish. I can't have anything like a dog or cat. They
would charge me more.
