If you could change the world...

...what things would you change?I would create peace among nations.I ntroduce everyone to Dmitri Shostakovich.Stop nose picking in public.Supply everyone with a million dollars.Give politicians less power.Introduce everyone to the wonders of classical music(the eigth wonder of the world!).And,on and on.What are some things you would change and/or institute?Please be serious and/or humorous.Thank you. If I could change the world. Well peace as you said is a good one.

If I could end poverty I would, and make sure everone had a roof over their heads.

I would promote tolerance among people, I use to work with handicapped people and the intolerance was bad. I would also make it compulsory to laugh at least once a day, a good laugh does wonders, and I get one every day when I look in the mirror.

If there was crime the people who commit them would be very sorry, by the time I had finished with them.

Interesting subject, look forward to hearing other peoples comments.

Thank you for responding to my post! Much appreciated. Also, if I could change the world,I would make everday a sunny day as sun is vital to the mind,spirit and health. As you all can tell I am a very positive and optimistic person! So,if I had "the power" I would put an end to cloudy days forever.Also,if I could change the world,I would put a halt to over-priced athletes making millions of dollars for playing games.However I still like sports.I just think the salaries are a bit high. Oh well! p.s. I live near Detroit Mihigan - so I root for the Detroit Tiger baseball team. GO TIGERS!!! Anybodly else like to come up with ideas to change the world? Let's hear them. What a great thread idea this is ... thanks for starting it out :up:

I would like to see everyone have equal health care and insurance at an affordable price.

Limit company executives salary (in the US) to no more than our President earns. These same executives, who can afford anything they desire, receive FREE cars, FREE gasoline, FREE health insurance, FREE housing allowance, FREE most everything else - to earn 2.7 million and get all that stuff as "perks" is absolutely rediculous.

I would like impose a law to where every Senator, Legislator, Congressperson, at state or national level would be limited to serve only 2 terms. There is too much dead wood (one from an eastern US state comes to mind) in these offices of power - It's high time they are removed from their Ivory Towers and try life as a common person.

I agree that the professional sports are paying way too much for athletes too ... the exception would be Golfers, who are competing on their own one-on-one for their daily bread.

I've got more ideas, but out of time right now.

I would get me a house big enough to adopt a whole bunch of animals from the shelter, and give money to children charities, hospitals, research, etc.

I woould institute harsh punishments for criminals. I would make it necessary for people to be more aware and use their heads more (I guess change the education system to instill the value of thought, reflection, analysis).

I cant think of other stuff right now, but I will mention it when i do
