Beautiful! nice and sunny, finally its starting to feel like summer around here . Of course I wasnt so thrilled about it when I had to walk 40 minutes to my interview, there and back, in the scolding sun and my professional attire

Finally the rain arrived, so this morning a bit of wind, dark grey clouds all over, but very good for all our farmers so the crops can continue to grow untill harvest time.

This weather is going to lead me to :alc: for certain.

Was 106° officially yesterday - going for the same today. All time record for June (in Tucson) was 117° in 1992.

I empathise with your situation - I hope the drink that the heat drives you to will be water w/ a little limejuice mixed in - Gotta replenish the electrolyte balance in the body. Now, its very muggy here and raining as if Victoria Falls was right above one...

Hi CD,

Actually my main "drink" is Iced Tea ... unsweetened and without lemon ... usually 3 quarts to a gallon each day. I make "refrigerator tea" (brews in darkness for 12 hours and gets cold at the same time).

As we speak, the sun has won the battle for the time being, the wind has quiet down, and I am preparing the barbeque.

I am relieved to hear that you are good to your body with iced tea. I always have about one gallon of iced green tea freshly brewed in the *igidator* daily. And I have also San Pellegrino mineral water from Italy(bought at Costco) to which I have a slice of lime added to for lunch and dinner libation.

Thanx ... I've always enjoyed iced tea, even as a kid ... lots of crushed ice in a tall glass as I love to munch on the ice pieces, too.

Ain't those Costco stores wonderful? Where else can you empty your wallet of an entire weeks pay in an hour? I've nicknamed it the $300 Club - best gasoline prices around, though.

Here close to 7 PM, sunny, blue sky with some clouds scattered on the sky to the south, heavy winds from the west, and the temperature pleasently at 60 degrees fahrenheit. However good we had the barbeque yesterday with the wind it´s not warm enough to sit outside after dinner.

At this hour it's coming a real storm! Heavy rain, strong winds, and
there might even be some hail in it. This storm sounds really bad.
The siren went off about fifteen minutes ago and it's storming bad.
While I sit here a bit weary I send this report on my neck of the
woods. I hope this doesn't get to any of you guys. I know that
Krummhorn would like to have some of this but not the hail and
strong winds. I hope this storm ends soon even though the local
farmers could use the rain. We don't need a flood either. The sound
of this storm is horrific. To make matters worse I live upstairs.

Sounds like you are in for a real stormy night Judy ... gotta be unnerving to experience this on an upper floor, too.
