Rain, rain and more rain ... coupled with severe thunderstorms and deadly lightening ... our typical summer fare that we call monsoon season here.
Over the weekend, one major intersection was totally shut down (and is still closed today, two days later) because a wind sheer coupled with the weekend storm snapped power poles and darkened a huge indoor mall because of a power failure.
Just got an email from church stating that the building sustained major damage from that storm of late Sunday afternoon ... I just hope the roof didn't leak over the organ again (as it did last year) which caused $6,200 (~£4,000) in damage and 8 weeks downtime. I'll have to go and check it out this morning.
I love the rainy season ... so refreshing to see the entire desert landscape devoid of dust and dirt and all the green trees clean and beautiful again.
