Adrien Willaert (c.1490-1562).

(I don't know any Belgian composer whose name starts with an "X" - I guess we'll have to wait for that until we've reached France.)

Whomever gets "Z" then chooses the "C" country (hopefully Rojo gets to opt for Canada  )

OK, here is a non-Belgian Belgian, for a change: Zhang Hao-Fu (born 1952).

Bye, bye, Belgium; hello Canada! :)

What makes you think I would have chosen Canada? :p:grin:

Woohoo!

Ok, why don`t we start with Violet Archer.

Don`t think her works are well-known, but she taught various members of my family piano!

I know some of his film scores but I think he composed for the

Well done, rob. And good one Krummhorn; I think his first name is spelled with a c though- Jacques Hétu.

J. Scott Irvine

Tuba player in Toronto. Composed music mainly for concert band and brass instruments. Classical composer? Not sure. But at least his last name starts with an i.

Otto Joachim

Born in Germany, but Canadian since 1957; composed the bulk of his work here, I think. Principal viola player with Montreal Symphony Orchestra at one time, etc. Composed mainly serial works.[FONT=Verdana,Arial,Sans-Serif,Helvetica]
