In the last 24 hours wind power provided 0.1% of UK electricity (1107MWh out of 1199919MWh), the most on record was back in September when it attained 5% (must have been a gale blowing).

No, I don't think so Colin. Over here we have been promised a new nuclear program to ensure we are not dependent on other countries for power, as we are at present.

Yeah, except politicians generate hot air which is not as dense as cold air, hence less efficient. That is not intended to imply that politicians are not dense.

Just ben announced the are replacing the old nuclear reactor at Dungerness. More jobs, and cheaper electricity than those #$*8% windmills

A windmill near Reading produced £100,000 of electricity last year. Unfortunately the subsidy was £130,000. Good game.
