My dear C5Says, I know you were joking, watching you and Miss Margeret on the "jokes" thread - AWESOME :banana::clap::clap:. One does not have to do anything at all. Just lean back and the two of you will replace each other. Beautiful guys, thank you.:grin:

Bagpipes -
Of the highland Scottish variety - a set of each of: R G Hardie, Henderson, Dunbar P1, Matheson (unknown age),
Of the small-pipe variety: Shepherd small-pipes (with A, D and Bflat chanters), Shepherd Shuttle pipes (with A & D chanters),
Irish whistles - A, D, C and Bflat (I don't play these properly - have drilled extra holes in the C whistle and use piper's fingering on it!)
A Bombarde - hmm that's very loud and shrill (don't play it - we don't use them here in NZ.)
A fife (bought in Kingston Canada years ago) never played.

Where´s thou been Cat-woman lately? Missed you.

Reducing yourself to merely oxygen? Geez, dear lady. Who, if not you, would have offered a chicken-scared of ants dane a beach towel, to wipe the sweat off his skinny body, if not you, eh?

"Merely Oxygen" (LOL), that was good very funny, but it should have been entered in the Jokes thread.

Back on topic.

My first comb was a plastic comb, 12 centimetres long and black with 54 teeth. But improving my talents on the comb with wax paper, I changed to an english manufactored titanium comb with 72 teeth in two layers, the one I told you all could produce more than 5 octaves.

Today in 2008, I have 18 combs in all, depending on different styles of music. For instance two fender electric fretless combs, one in plastic, white with 56 teeth and one which used to belong to the late Yul Brunner (american movie actor) with no teeth at all. That one realy need very good lunges to even produce a sound. Actually Telly Savales bought it on an auktion, and I found it at Southerby´s not 15 months ago.

My two favourite combs today, though retired from the international musical scene of combs, are the english manufactored custum built fretless fender 102 teeth syntheziser comb made of titanium with vibrator.

The other favourite comb of mine is the synclavier double bowed comb with 116 teeth with 6 pedals made in coal fiber. It can be turned into electric with an additional device.

Now for the wax paper. Most of my life, I used the English Deluxe Origin Madchester Wax Paper, because it´s very thin, but strong. However the best tone using Wax Paper is the Indian Buddha Tibetian Tea Wax Paper. But mind you, it has to have been in use, or the sound will not be good.

A fiveteen years old Marigaux oboe. Even though it's so old it plays fabolous cause it's after a thorough make-over. Too bad it's rented, not mine...

Hi Jonesey,

How do you like your Young Chang piano? I bought my Studio upright in 1984 (new) and absolutely love its tone and the case work.

Hi Krummhorn,

I find the tone can be a bit harsh sometimes - but then again I love the tone of a Yamaha Piano, and when I make my millions, I'll have a Yamaha grand in a room all to myself.

just gotta wait to make those millions though :p

Don't get me wrong, the Young Chang is a great piano, and when I nearly had to sell it to create some room, I had a buyer ready and just couldn't go through with it at the last minute.

I've had the Piano for over 15 years and never had a problem with it.
