Further to my post back in October about steamed suet puddings, I've solved the problem. They cook very well in the microwave, 4 to 5 minutes against 2 hours steaming!!
I now mix up enough plain dry ingredients for about 5 or 6 individual size ones, spoon out enough for 1 pud, add fruit, like currants, sultanas, chopped dried apricots or what ever you fancy (assuming you want a fruit one) then add egg and/or milk to complete mixing and put into an individual size bowl, repeat but adding different fruit(s) or putting jam, or syrup in the bottom of the bowl(s) until you have used up all the dry mix. Cover the bowls with cling film then cook in microwave, betwen 4 and 5 minutes depending on power of your microwave.
Other variations you could add include ground almonds, dessicated coconut, cinnamon, or nutmeg
Freeze any you can't eat same day.
