What classical music did you listen to today?

Contratrombone64

Admiral of Fugues
Beethoven Symphony 9, Roger Norrington, London Classical Players with the glorious Yvonne Kenny as soprano. Now, I thought I had enough Beethoven Cycles on period instruments and wasn't going to buy the Norrington, but the set was like $40 (all the symphonies) so how could I resist. AND I just LOVE it. In fact it's wonderful.

My favourite LP (yes I still have vinyl) is Chopin played by Ashkenazy, I could never play it enough.

i like to rejoice when waking up by listening to a music that evokes the worst nightmare for all of us: the truth of human monstrosity, turned into something so beautiful:

Gorecki's third symphony.

Aloha sunwaiter,

I listened to the Vespers last week. It firmly remains a staple in my listening repertoire.

*The Bells* by Rachmaninoff.
