The enabling of HTML is considered a security risk in vBulletin terminology ... it can also cause higher server loads

As for 'animation' it is only allowed in avatars, not signatures ... and then only those members with 500 or more posts have that capability. Why they are not enabled is a mystery. I'll have to check on that.

I can see it being a problem with larger animateds as Colin says, however possibly a limit of 1 animated with a size limit, as for an animated avatar, that does have some possibilities.

Limits for those are: 500 (H) X 100 pixels (W) ... or 20 KB, whichever is smaller. Reason height is extended is that there is more vertical space to the left of the posts.

These cosmetic issues will eventually be solved ... as with any software upgrade there will be be idiosyncrasies ... this particular upgrade was a very major update (from v3.8.4 to v4.1.3) and caused some havoc with various 'mods' we had in place that are no longer compatible with the new software version.

Once we get all the major fires extinguished, we will start working on the more insignificant minor ones.

Slowly getting used to the new format. Mike had to point out to me the "report" and "reputation" buttons. Could you not change the colour of these to make them stand out more.

It's on our fix list ... I'm having trouble seeing them, too, and I have more buttons in that area than the regular members do.

:lol: ... we see those, too ... and thanks for the reports everyone :clap:. Those cretins get permanently banned and their posts removed, plus they get reported to an international spam database site, which enables all forum mods/admins to be notified.

I found a commonality on the numerous 'pearls' one ... and just added a block in the ACP settings ... :devil:. We will always win, ya know ... always. :cheers:

There are other areas that we have notated where the contrasting colours need adjustment. I found the tool with which to change those, but a little chicken to try anything without some training from Frederik. It would be my luck the whole forum would suddenly change to purple with pink polka dots.

Geting used to the new format. After two weeks away am spending extra time on the forum to really familiarise myself with the changes. No bad comments up to now.
