Wow CD, that is some mass, 116 times the sun.

If all the cars from the U.S. were taken and lined up from bumper to bumper, there would be enough cars to go to the moon from earth and back.

Aloha Dame Margaret,

Holy cow...What if all the world's road-going vehicular traffic were lined up bumper to bumper, how far then? To the Sun?

Cheerio,

CD :):):)

Ps. Its been said that there are 500 million registered cars, buses, and trucks in Europe.

Hi CD

How far to the sun indeed.

In 1958, the United States Coast Guard off western Greenland measured the tallest known iceberg at five hundred and fifty feet.

I wonder if that measurement was of the ice above the waterline or included what was below the waterline.

Epicentre is not the absolute core of the exact middle of the centre. It is the point on the surface above the centre of something, such as an earthquake. If Wall Street is at the epicentre of the world financial contretemps, the trouble must be occurring on the subway below.

Aloha Tûrwethiel,

Well, the subway station underneath Wall Street is an infernally hot place, what with the very close proximity to the station of all the steam lines, valves and associated machinery. If it is 35C at street-level then it will be at least 45C in the station.

Cheerio,

Botanically a rhubarb is a vegetable. It was changed to a fruit in 1947 by a U.S. Custom Court.

A rhubarb is now known as a fruit because of a ruling in 1947 by a court of law??? That is judicial imperialism run amok!!!

Despite its reputation for being finicky, the average cat consumes about 127,750 calories a year, nearly 28 times its own weight in food and the same amount again in liquids. In case you were wondering, cats cannot survive on a vegetarian diet

sorry, this is a little macabre

When a person dies, hearing is generally the last sense to go. The first sense lost is usually sight. Then follows taste, smell, and touch.
