Take the name of a famous male person from a European country, who liked to be moving on their feet, couple him with a facial feature of a deep colour, who is ultimately in the showers not cheap and you have a person to serenade at the festive season.

Margaret how deliciously obscure - I'm stretching my brain on this one and coming up a blank, most vexing. But I've not quite given up yet ...

I will let you stretch your brain a little CT. Just let me know if you need a clue.

Hi CT

Think of a word, the opposite of cheap (what you might call a loved one) and what comes down in a shower.

The challange is seasonal.

OK clue needed? This four footed character has a colourful feature, and he is a great help to Santa.

Twas the nocturnal segment of the diurnal period preceding the annual Yuletide celebration and through our place of residence, kinetic activity was not in evidence among the possessors of this potential, including that species of domestic rodent known as Mus musculus. Hosiery was meticulously suspended from the forward edge of the woodburning caloric apparatus, pursuant to our anticipatory pleasure regarding an imminent visitation from an eccentric philanthropist among whose folkloric appellations is the honourific title of St Nicklaus ...

Is it this poem?

Twas the night before Christmas when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring not even a mouse
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
In hopes that st.Nicholas soon would be there.

I did have a little chuckle, I thought it was very apt for the time of year.

The person dressed in a vibrant colour, being very cheerful for the small ones is blessed with the correct notion. Gather yourself and things and call upon persons, making it a journey taken very infrequently.

Santa Clause (of course).

Here's a piece of text that describes a "thing". What is the thing being described?

What is the chief characteristic of the ________? It is lofty. It must be tall. The force and power of altitude must be in it, the glory and pride of exaltation must be in it. It must be every inch a proud and soaring thing, rising in sheer exaltation that from bottom to top it is a unit without a single dissenting line.

I think that would be a skyscraper/ tall building.

This object can be many shapes, it is used by people sometimes when other methods have failed. It helps to procure things that are not too easily found, especially those of a miniscule nature. Some may say it is quite ugly, others will say it is very attractive.
