I hope this is meant "tongue in cheek"!? Otherwise, I can't for the life of me figure out what you are trying to say or what your point is regarding this man's death. You are not really glad--or implying that this is a festive occasion and reason to celebrate--are you?
Or are you?
Mr. Knight, might I recommend some literature for you?:

Was his 4th symphony performed, finally?
Martin
No, Gorecki's 4th symphony remains very much like Gorecki's talent -- unfinished and unfinishable.
Sorry to hear that...
Martin
Indeed, my dear Berg; I am confident that if, upon reaching the unfinished section of the symphony, one were to put blank music sheets before a conductor and the orchestra, thereby allowing the musicians to play whatever they wished, and letting the conductor conduct anything he wished -- giving cues, indicating time, tempo, dynamics, etc. at random -- I am confident that the result would be even more remarkable than the talent of Herr Gorecki himself.

=======================================================Enough of the disrespect. I do not recall saying, at any point, that this thread was about liking or disliking Górecki's music. It was about paying tribute.
Lars/Robin, you might just as well close this thread. Thank you.
Thanks, Teddy. I must try not to "pull any punches" next time, what!
And I really hate it when some interesting troll-punching happens, White Knight my friend, I'm thoroughly with you about that (now banned moron). Mat - sorry this thread turned out so negative, thank you again for paying respect to a composer who will be missed greatly.
David
. . . Enough of the disrespect . . . It was about paying tribute.
Lars/Robin, you might just as well close this thread. Thank you.
