One Random Fact About You

*heavy sigh* My how quickly life can change. Just when I thought I might take off my coat and stay to chat and make new friends in faraway places...my husband (who is much too young for such things) is diagnosed with M.S. (Multiple Sclerosis). I suppose now I will spend my free time researching this monster that has reared its ugly head in our lives. I would much rather learn about pipe organs, but..."life is what happens to you while you're making other plans." (not sure who said that, but it sounds nice)

*clears throat* ~ Just going to fling this parting thought from my heart into cyber space: hold tightly to those you love, be gentle with the human souls around you and be slow to criticize others or judge unfairly.

Dear rhapsody89,

My prayers are with you and your husband as you now face the fight together. A dear friend of mine's wife has MS - he so lovingly and sacrificially takes care of all her needs as she is in a wheelchair and can hardly move her limbs.

Humbly and Respectfully yours,

Corno Dolce :tiphat::tiphat::tiphat::tiphat:

Hi rhapsody89

It is a very hard time for you both. It is difficult when your loved one is ill. I definately agree with holding tightly to those you love. My husband has cancer at the moment but, we are hopeful the treatment will work. But my thoughts are with you both. Always remember sometimes friends cannot be with you there, but they can be with you in thought.

Dear Rhapsody89,

my prayers to you and your man. Receiving such a diagnosis must be so terrible . Hope it is curable, hope you can both fight through it. Surely you might have neither time nor desire to chat here now. You are always welcome, anyway. Please visit, when you have time, it helps sometimes.

My best regards to you,
Andrew

Well, I finally got rid of that bad tooth after months of neglect. I'm
going to need dentures on the top because the rest of them are getting
bad. Now I should feel better in a few days.

Capoeira is beautiful! I used to study kung fu (more for self defense), and wushu (absolutely pointless when comes to self defense, but looks cool ;) ). I would love to learn capoeira, but I dont think Im physically fit (or brave) enough to do it, lols

Capoeira's totally cool. But, I guess, out of my range. At least right now. So, for how long did you study kung fu? You can probably kick anyone's a*s now, huh?;);)

well, not that long actually. back, when i was a kid, i studies karate for a little bit (just as an after school activity). Then I started with Kung Fu in high school, and studies for about a year or little longer. i got to the green belt (but I dont know how much that means, really ;) there is a rather interesting system we had there - u only have one personal class per week, where they teach you a form and a few moves). Then you have an option to go to a group class every night of the week, where they teach you moves for self defense). You get a belt after you learn your form and those few moves they teach you in a personal class. And, of course, the forms and moves get longer and more complex for each belt.
Then I stopped with kung fu, because I moved to bay area, to go to Berkeley. There I joined a wushu club, which was also pretty cool ;)

But, yeah, I could probably kick some ..., although I wouldnt unless I have to ;). I also was a part of a wrestling team in high school, played tennis, and danced and swam (for myself), so I would be fine ;)

Well Muza

I for one am not going to upset you, it sounds like you can well look after yourself.

I did judo at school, but it was only for one term so pretty useless really.

But I would like to do Tai Chi, it is supposed to be very good for body and mind. Just what I need.

Oh no, watch out for CT64. He's gonna fold a million of paper cranes and throw them at us like ninja stars ;).

By the way, that so doesnt even come close to my black belt in basket weaving and tub singing:crazy::grin::D

Margaret, I know exactly what you mean about the useless. I only did wrestling for one semester, but it was soo much fun - totally not what people think it is! And yeah, tai chi is great for you! You should totally do it! I have this tape with a tai chi form, and I always wanted to learn it, but Its so long and Im so lazy, that sometimes instead of doing it along with the video I just sit on the couch and watch him do it, lols ;)

Hi Muza

Black belt in basket weaving and tub singing, whatever next? I shall definately watch out for CT.

Yes they do some Tai Chi locally, so I must find out when and how much.
