I think that was a Thomas Beecham quote CT64.Sargent was a rather kind man,Beecham was the dirty one. :D

I usually say it and I'm a musician myself. Not all quotes come from such
famous people. I just say it from my own heart. Discover what your heart
can hold.

In the case of the late Rita Hunter singing Broomholder in Sydney a few years ago, that certainly WAS the case.

No Judy, the quote was actually said by someone famous, whose name now escapes me, but I'll find out ... it's such a popular one that it's used now universally. It might have been Borge, but I just can't remember.
