It is completed!
More than a full year of work...can't barely understand it myself...
Today I'm primarely doing some corrections, it will be printed out tomorrow (monday) and send to the conductor!

Our very own Captain Corno (a.k.a. Thomas Nielsen), have done the transfer from my main music application "Logic" into the professional score-layout application "Finale", from which the individual voices and the full score will be printed. Logic is an excellent tool during the composition process but for professional print, Finale is the best, and there have been no compromises in this work. Thomas has also been reading first proof. Today I read second proof. Tomorrow I will read the third and final proof when I get the score back from "Samfundet" - who will be printing the full score and voices.

Late last night, Saturday, I finished making the "piano score" - a transcription of the complete work for piano, very useful (necessary) for the soloists and chorus during studying and rehearsals.
During the week I have also done the final proof-reading on the orchestral score. Now, I'll be doing proof-reading on the orchestral and vocal parts when they come back from the score-writers. But basically my work on the first movement is finished now! Finally!

Today the 21th of April, 2004. This morning at 11:30, I returned the very last of my corrections on the individual orchestral parts to "Samfundet" (the score writers) who will print them out and send them to the orchestra within the next few days. All my work on the 1st movemenet of "Cantabile" is now done...for real!
