Steve, as far as radio plays in UK the Tallis theme gets quite a few plays, the symphonies very few if any of the complete work, more likely just one movement.

I agree that the Tallis theme is evocative, but when, if ever do you hear the original?

My favourite opera that contains some of the most beautiful music that I have come across Gluck - Orfeo et Euridice -

this clip “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” this is a must for any up and coming Flute player

and if you are still interested, the overture: Gardenir and the English Baroque orch.

Operas would be so much nicer without the singing!!! Maybe someday I'll learn to appreciate the voice part of them.....maybe.
