Winter Light, featuring Max von Sydow, Ingrid Thulin, Gunnar Bjornstrand and Gunnel Lindblom. Fantastic movie with an outstanding cast; the chiaroscuro effect created by Bergman shooting the film in black and white only adds to the film's stark message and mood.

My pea-sized intellect has all it can handle just getting thru each day in one piece. in addition to trying and understand Bergman as much as possible! I have yet to cultivate a taste for Mahler, except for his First {"Titan"} Symphony, which is probably the shortest symphony he ever composed.
