How's Your Weather?

Sounds like you could do with another UK holiday Lars!

Do we know anybody that can get you time on the Christchurch Priory 4 manual?

I don't think you would get much cheer from being in Kent at the moment elderpiano. We have had some bright sunny days, but cool to cold. More like September. Today it has been wet and cold all day, Lars weather as I have started to think of it. It is only meanness that stops me still lighting fires in the evenings as we certainly need the cheer as well as the warmth. Dreaming of the S of F but very little chance of making it this year.

No wind - the first day in about 5 weeks! A mild start to the day too, another surprise.

I would cross the pond, in a heartbeat ... I want to go back ... if a windfall of money comes our way we will return. Still have wonderful memories from 2010, and the pictures, too.

Well its January the 1st, the temperature has dropped to 48F (known locally as Lars weather) but the geraniums are still in flower. How long this mild weather will last I do not know but January/February are generally the worst weather months here so we are probably in for a cold patch. Pining................................

Cold, steady rain, gusting winds with low cloud and mist. It really is Winter here. At least the nights are starting to draw out here. Only another two months of this

True Mike. Last May I would of happily kept lighting the fire if I had not run out of coal and been too mean to buy more at Winter prices.

Finally ... rid of our cold snap where night temps have hovered at 32°F/0°C. To my horror, I was forced to abandon wearing shorts for about two weeks and had also donned a jacket during the daytime hours.

Sunday was in the low 70's (f) but the coming week has 39% rain in the forecast ... which to me means a 61% chance it won't, as usually is par here (too much stupid sunshine).

And now a look out my office window ... clouds with patches of blue sky peeking through ... hmm, I guess I'll put on those new windshield wipers after all. It may be raining after my league bowling tonight.

Very cold, around 48 F. Luckily no wind otherwise the cottage would be freezing. Central heating on, fire alight and a small electric heater in the back and still cool. if not actually cold. Looking at pictures of the SoF and trying to work up the courage to book a holiday, and then tell my wife I am going on my own!!!!!

Actually got some light frost on car roof and windows this morning, not cold enough to make any ice on the bird bath though, not seen much at all for nearly a year. Must be the proximity of the sea, only half a mile from here.

OK it's get6ting colder here too, ice on the birdbath today, at first I thought the pigeons were walking on water, well suppose they were really, ice is frozen water.

Actually slightly warmer today, having been as low as -5 F over the last few days. Went out and split some logs for the fire. They say wood keeps you warm twice. Once when you cut it and again when you burn it

It's been rather cool over the past few days, and rainy too! The hottest it's been this month is I think 40 degrees.
