5 inches of Snow yesterday. Snowed all day. Village roads packed snow and ice.

30f today. Main roads slippery but drivable. Back to the office after a day at home.

They're on the way, Judy ... on the way. You must have gotten some as ours temps must dropped 5°F . Expect 2 more degrees by Monday. :lol:

Currently, 75°F at 18:50 on a Friday evening.

Winter arrived! The last two days have stayed well below 0C plus very windy and almost 15cm snow yesterday with perhaps another five today. The afternoon commute was a disaster yesterday - even rail transport running very late on most lines. (Frozen points being their excuse). Glad I'm sitting here nice and warm - though the snow shovel is waiting for it's first workout. Coffee first! It may look beautiful - but.......

New York tonight is clear and extremely cold, with the promise that it is only going to get colder in the coming days and weeks. No snow or sleet yet, but I'm sure they're on the way shortly! Makes one want to stay indoors and not venture out unless it is an absolute emergency! Otherwise,going to sleep in a warm bed is much preferred and recommended. :smirk:

As we modelers know the third rail system causes all sorts of problems. With the steam locomotives they merely put some sand down and away they went.

Today 33f overcast feels really really cold. My coal fire in the lounge is working overtime.
