I do wish you people would drag yourselves into the 21st century and use celcius. It's a far more understandable scale. I mean freezing = zero and boiling = 100 ... what could be easier?

10C and partly cloudy. It has been nice to see the sun after a number of cloudy, drizzly days.

Another hot one today. The high was 101 today with a heat index
added to it. Kentucky had it's first dust storm yesterday. It caught
some people here off guard. I know a dust storm when I see one.
It blows real hard and clouds up while it kicks up dust and then
comes a shower just enough to settle it. We had one of those.
I was hoping it would stay at least down in the mid 90s. Wrong!
The temps rose to 101. Bummer!

It's all the other number between 2 and 99 that get us westerners confused .

Not to get off topic, but it is rather silly how America refuses to accept the centigrade and/or metric way of measuring things ... but the most visible item that everyone here (US) uses and doesn't think about it twice, is our currency denominations ... which use the metric system. Go figure :banghead:

Ok ... 40.6°C here today and for the next week .. just too doggone hot and miserable. Burned my hand and fingers on the floor shifter this afternoon driving home ... :nut:

Teddy, it's the proper scale to use while talking about temperatures. Do you know that right now it's 15.5C where you live?

Where I live it's overcast, with chances for rain and storm. 25C, and RH @ 69%.

Oh-hum weather

Light overcast this morning - 22C (I'm easy with either scale) forecast is no rain, 28C. We have had somewhat more rain than average over the last forty days or so. Some very hot and humid days, but nothing very unusual. Many of the birds seem to have started leaving - I can't help but wonder what that may mean? ;) Early winter? Who knows - I don't. Our local raccoon population is fat and sassy and ready for anything.

After 61 years the imperial scales have immediate impact.
I know exactly how hot 65f feels the same as I know how long a yard is. I grew up with LSD, pounds shillings and pence. Twelve pennies, or twenty four half pennies to a shilling. Twenty shillings to a pound. Plus we had three penny pieces, sixpence pieces, florins, which were two shillings and half crowns which were worth thirty pennies or two and a half shillings (2/6d). It was all so easy. Posh shops sold in guineas which were worth one pound and one shilling. On top of that for measurements we have feet and inches, yards furlongs perches poles and rods not to mention acres. So copeing with something as simple as fahrenheit was easy.

Relief at last! We had a cold front to come by and cool thing
a bit last night. The highs will be in the 80s for a change.
Yea!

4C and partly cloudy. It rained so much over the past few days, we're about 22mm (almost an inch!) over the August average, but today was nice and sunny.

The relief didn't last too long. It's hot again. The highs were
about 92 today and I felt it too when I walked to my mailbox.
